Clackamas Whitewater Festival - Evening Entertainment

Saturday evening the place to be will be Lockaby Campground. Right after the Big Air Competition ends everyone will migrate to the campground where people will gather for fun, food and world class entertainment.

5:30 - Next Adventure’s Famous BBQ – Once again Brian and the fine folks at Next Adventure are stepping up HUGE with another famous burger and dog barbeque with all the fixin's!

7:00 - Rafting Video Premier – “Year of the Cat” - A group of Northwest catarafters spent most of 2007 seeking out Class V runs to explore and define the limits of what can successfully be run in a cataraft. This video was produced by some of our WRR friends and even includes a few shots of our own Val Shaull!

8:00 - Kayaking Video Premier – “Northwest Video Scrapbook VI” - The producers have been collaborating with some of the best cinematographers, photographers, and athletes in the region to create the first multisport video magazine highlighting the Northwest!

9:00 - Bluegrass Music by Dave Elliott & Surefire!
Dave (for many years now our festival announcer) is back with his friends from Surefire to play and sing some great traditional bluegrass. Dave Elliott, is the mandolinist and singer, and has been a member of several well-known Portland-area bands, including Surefire, Old Friends, Columbia and Sunny South. Dave also hosts a bluegrass program on KBOO 90.7 FM in Portland.

Saturday night will be rock'n, well OK... creekin'. Visit some crazy class V creeks and rivers with Dave & Shelly Becker in " The Year of the Cat". Highlights include: Icicle Creek, Tumwater, Cascade, Middle Fork Feather, North Fork Payette, a wee bit of Carnage,.... and a Whole Lot More!

We don't have a trailer for "Year of the Cat" but Shelly sent us links to a couple of short videos she's posted - The Trouble with Harvey which showcases the newly enlarged hole at the end of the Green Wall rapid on the Illinois.
