Upper Clackamas Whitewater Festival - Volunteers

Come be a Volunteer at Oregon's Premier Whitewater Festival River Event - Upper Clackamas River Oregon

The Upper Clackamas White water festival is produced each year by the NORTH WEST RAFTERS ASSOCIATION, a non-profit organization that depends entirely upon volunteers to put on this event. The festival committee works on the event for over six months, planning and arranging all of the activities. Festival weekend actually begins Friday with the setup of the course rigging, announcer stand, PA system, and the rafting shelter tarps. This takes a full day, so volunteers are needed throughout Friday. Special needs for the weekend include: traffic control, starters, scorers, judging, bike patrol, sales and info and a dozen other jobs both in front and behind the scenes. If every boater or spectator volunteered just two hours of help, sometime during the three day event, everything would be covered. So, please check the box on your registration form indicating you would like to help. We will be sure to schedule around your racing time. It's not hard work, it's a lot of fun and makes you part of the best Whitewater Festival in the country! And of course, we need you to help make it happen. To volunteer please contact our Volunteer Coordinator Bob Mosier at 503-235-9940 to take part.

Hey!! Aren't you supposed to use the boat when you eddy-up? Actually this is a festival partaker giving "volunteer" a whole new meaning by assisting in the safe recovery of a Maravia demo boat on a rock just below Carter Falls.
Not Ryan Baumgartner's Boat, but Ryan learning Rescue 101!

Click the link below to see the jobs we need to fill and get in touch with Bob. It's really a lot of fun, and it's a great way to give back to the club and community. Be sure to click the pages tab there are 4 pages of fun to check out!
